Czech Neuroinformatics Node

The Czech Neuroinformatics Node has been working since 2003 and currently serves as the INCF National Node of the Czech Republic. The Node generally focuses on the reliability of interactions between a human subject and artificial system; especially in transportation sciences. The experiments, which are conducted in several laboratories, deal with research of negative effects on attention and mental health of drivers, micro sleep of system operators, or safety and use of assistant systems. Activities of the Node are also aimed at the development of software and hardware infrastructure for research in electrophysiology. This includes e.g. developing hardware equipment for complex visual and audio stimulation, building and maintaining databases, which provide raw and analyzed data/metadata from electrophysiological experiments, or working on a general data model and ontology for electrophysiology.

The Node currently consists of eleven members – eight universities and academic research institutions, and three industrial enterprises. The Node members also cooperate with other institutions and individual scientists in the Czech Republic and abroad, especially the cooperation with the German, Belgian, Japan and US Node has been developing successfully. The Node is fully open to other institutions and individuals interested in neuroinformatics.
